Course uses MySQL or MariaDB to create, manipulate, and query databases. Covers the fundamentals of a relational database, basic selection queries, sub-queries, multiple table queries, joins, aggregate calculations, updating data, MySQL database administration, data definition and manipulation, views, sorting, triggers, constraints, indexes and basic introduction to PL/SQL. Course includes Analytical thinking by synthesizing information from multiple data sources to synthesize information into higher level of understanding. Course also discusses cloud database services of SQL, NoSQL, big data and caching.
