Included are discussions of biological molecules, energy production, metabolic pathways and regulation, genetic code and genomics, DNA replication, transcription and RNA processing, translation, and gene regulation. Laboratory activities will include chromatography, cell fractionation, centrifugation, protein purification, electrophoresis, and recombinant DNA methods.
