Addresses historical and contemporary cultures of the Western hemisphere (pre-Columbian) from a historical and ethnographic context, examining the formal elements of painting, sculpture, architecture, ceramics, and textiles in the context of native socio-political systems and religious beliefs. Field trips may be required.
