Transfers ToCSUDescriptionIntroduction to the basic elements, principles and practices of painting. Focus on exploration of painting materials, perceptual skills, paint mixing, color theory, and methods of applying paint. Creative responses to representational subject matter will be emphasized. Emphasizes portfolio development for employment as an artist or related worker. Theory and studio work in the application of esthetic principles to the design and painting of useful and decorative objects and spaces.
