The course explores the differences and similarities in cultures around the world related to family and kinship, ritual and religion, economic and political organization, social inequity, gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity, cultural change, and the impact of colonialism and globalization. This honors course will be enriched through limited class size, seminar format, and an extensive research project.
