The course addresses skills and competencies relevant to those wishing to live and work more independently. This course focuses on increasing basic functional academic skills. There is an emphasis on understanding the application of consumer math skills, functional reading skills, and functional writing skills to real life scenarios. Instruction is provided both in the community and in the classroom.
