Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is designed to introduce the student to the theoretical and practical applications of basic mechanical systems utilized in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, steam power generation, and the treatment of water for use in mechanical systems. Additional studies include fundamental laws of heat; theory of refrigeration and refrigerants; installation, operation, and testing of refrigeration units; and safe, efficient use of related hand, heat, and power tools.
