    or placement through the assessment process. This course is designed for students who need to improve their spelling. It includes an introduction to the basic spelling rules and patterns of English. Students will also learn to recognize and differentiate homophones and to recognize and utilize common affixes and plurals. Students will develop competence in the ability to spell.
