Students develop analytical, integrative, and research skills while exploring multicultural perspectives. A variety of cultural and social perspectives are explored through the comparison of different ethnic groups within the U.S., focusing on the influence of non- European and non-Western cultures on the content or style of various texts. Formal writing assignments total at least 5000 words. In-person or virtual attendance at readings, plays, and/ or films may be required. This course is designed for multicultural and multilingual students.
