Through a variety of written assignments, students write a minimum of 6,500 words, including a significant research paper. In addition to research assignments, students will read at least one full-length, supplemental text. In order to fulfill the honors requirement, students will complete a significant project and/or classroom presentation. This course was formerly known as ENGWR 480. This course is taught as a seminar; several group and individual class presentations/ projects will be required. Honors courses are open to students who demonstrate an ability to write carefully reasoned, well-organized essays of varying lengths, are prepared to make clear oral presentations in class, and are able to actively contribute to seminar discussions.
