Students study the works of a significant writer or group of writers or of work on one theme, region, vocation, or human experience. Possible titles: Death in Literature, The Literature of the Occult, The Hero in Fiction, The Love Story, The Literature of War. This course is not recommended as a substitute for genre or survey courses. UC transfer credit will be awarded only after the course has been evaluated by the enrolling UC campus. The units completed for this course cannot be counted towards the minimum 60 units required for admissions.
