At the same time, it introduces them to the major Bible characters on whose lives these poems, short stories, wisdom literature, drama, epistles, and epics are centered. The course traces the influence of the Bible on the works of selected authors. It is not a study of Jewish or Christian doctrine, nor is it a Bible study course.
