Students develop critical thinking skills by engaging in analysis, evaluation, and composition of persuasive messages and by examining the personal, political, cultural, and social impacts of persuasion. Students explore ethical considerations of persuasive communication; learn about types of reasoning; and identify fallacious arguments as they occur in persuasion.
