Topics include browser basics, search engines and search techniques, e-mail, the World Wide Web (WWW), internet security, internet resources, the Cloud, social networking, and building a simple Web page using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML5). The course includes the review of laws that guide the use of the Internet and intellectual property on the Web. Other topics include Internet protocols, news groups, discussion lists, connecting to a remote server, (S)FTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), and current emerging technologies.
