    Description
    Area 5C This is a course in chemical quantitative analysis. Emphasis is placed on the proper design, control, and handling of experimental data obtained through the use of various analytical methods. For example, volumetric, spectrophotometric, and chromatographic methods are employed. Students will calibrate glassware and instruments, design and validate experimental methods, keep a detailed laboratory notebook, and prepare and deliver scientific reports. This course is for students planning careers in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, forensics, pre-pharmacy, biology, molecular biology, and microbiology.
