Students will investigate many phenomena including the law of conservation of mass, acids and bases, pH, mass transfer, colloid science, fluid dynamics, specific heat capacity, refractive index, Snell's law and intermolecular forces. Students will use their understanding of these phenomena to optimize several variables that impact the taste of coffee in pursuit of brewing the best cup of coffee.
