    Description
Area 5C This course explores the relationships between human beings and their living and nonliving environments with regard to the chemical substances that are encountered in everyday life. The role of chemistry in both creating environmental problems as well as providing solutions will be examined. At the conclusion of the course, the student will be able to use everyday tools in understanding and dealing with environmental problems and become a more critical consumer of products affecting the environment. The laboratory is designed to familiarize the student with the methods of science while investigating the presence and interaction of chemicals in the environment.
