The course involves a concentrated study of intermediate work in elements of metal design and form, which may include enameling, engraving, laminating, lapidary, gemstone setting, mold making, and assembling design parts. Students' skill will be enhanced by supervised repetition and practice. Students are required to purchase supplies needed for the course at a cost of between $100-200. A field trip to an art gallery or art museum is required.
