Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is an introduction to the studio theory and practice of books arts. Students will learn the process of basic bookbinding, while developing understanding of the artist's book as concept. Book forms may include altered books, memory books, folded, stab, sewn bindings, sculptural boxes, and portfolios. Also covered is the history of traditional and contemporary books and manuscripts. A field trip to a gallery or museum is required. This course has an additional lab fee. Students are required to purchase supplies needed for the course at a cost of between $50-$75.Usually HeldFri 10:30am–12:35pm, Fri 12:45pm–3:55pm
