The course includes problems in observation and expression and the translating of these experiences into graphic terms by exploration of gesture, line, texture, shape, volume, space, light, and shadow. Students are required to purchase a digital memory device with a capacity of at least 4G, a sketchbook, and a few other supplies as requested by the instructor.
