    Description: The study and implementation of the principles, techniques, and practices of lighting design for the stage. Includes training in the creative concepts of lighting design, how to create a light plot, hang the lighting instruments for a show, as well as the practical use and operation of lighting equipment used to execute the design. Students will also be trained in industry safety standards that will prepare the student for work in the industry. Student will be assigned lighting crew responsibilities for a theatrical production. 45.00 hours lecture and 27.00 hours laboratory. (Letter grade only)
