    Description: The nature and causes of common meteorological phenomena, severe weather occurrences, and climatic patterns. Topics include atmospheric structure, solar radiation, and energy balances, atmospheric moisture, clouds and fog, air pressure, wind, air masses, and fronts, cyclones, tornadoes, hurricanes, weather forecasting, climate classification, and climate change. Understanding the human impact on weather and climate is an important thread throughout the course. 54.00 hours lecture. (Same as GEG-5) (Letter grade only)
