- Description: Sports history from a sociology perspective and cultural phenomenon. Generates a better understanding of current practices in sport, and considers future developments in sport. Spectator-ship, from the viewpoint of the athlete and spectators covering a variety of sports, will also be examined. Explores careers in collegiate, amateur, and professional sports organizations. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
