    Description: An introduction to international cinema, focusing upon select films, filmmakers, and national cinemas from outside the United States, ranging from film’s earliest decades to the present. Films, filmmakers, and national cinemas are studied in relation to questions of artistry, history, genre, style, culture, and politics. Includes an overview of methodologies for analyzing and researching film. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
