    Description
Description: Basic instruction and practice in the oral production of English. Listening activities focus on comprehension of sentences, dialogs and paragraphs at normal speed and on discrimination of sound patterns in American English. Pronunciation focuses on stress, intonation, rhythm, phrasing, reduction, and linking as well as consonants, vowels, and digraphs. The course emphasizes overall pronunciation improvement to make spoken communication more intelligible and to approximate more closely native rhythms and intonation.
