    Description: Develops basic skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing. Emphasis on acquisition of vocabulary, structures and grammatical patterns necessary for comprehension of native spoken and written Mandarin Chinese at the beginning level. Includes discussion of Chinese culture and daily life. 90.00 hours lecture and 18.00 hours laboratory. (TBA Option) (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
