This course offers specialized training and instruction which are necessary to take and pass the written test portion of the City of Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety (LADBS) Certified Welder Examination. This course emphasizes specific skills in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) as it applies to Certification in Structural Steel, Light Gage Steel, and Structural Aluminum. The course also focuses on safety, welding codes, test preparation, procedures, and destructive testing. Special emphasis will be placed on developing proficiency in order to successfully pass the LADBS exam.
