Emphasis will be placed on building skills in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) as applicable to acquire LADBS certified welder classifications in structural steel, light gage steel, and structural aluminum. Safety, welding codes, welding procedures and techniques, inspection requirements, nondestructive testing, and destructive testing will be covered.
