Course reading and writing assignments explore indigenous literatures and myths, chronicles of the Spanish conquest, literature of the colonial period, high culture and folklore of the eighteenth century, political and modernist literature of the nineteenth century, and poetry and prose of the twentieth century. This course is designed for students interested in exploring various genres of literature and/or interested in learning more about Mexican cultural expression, and students majoring in Chicano Studies.Usually HeldMon 2:20pm–5:30pm, Mon 7:00pm–10:10pm, Tue Wed Thu 9:00am–11:05am
