The Certified Nurse Assistant Acute Care Training Course consists of 27 hours of lecture content. This course includes communication, patient observation skills, reporting and recording training as well as reinforcement of Certified Nurse Assistant basic-care procedures. The Division of Health Science and Nursing requires that students must be concurrently enrolled in both HS 051 and HS 051L, and pass both courses together. They cannot be taken individually for credit.
