Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis entry-level nursing course meets Title 22 regulations for taking care of the geriatric population in a long term care setting, utilizing skills in basic care, emergency care, and communication. The course, which consists of 72 hours of classroom instruction, prepares students to take the California State Certification Exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). After obtaining the state certification, students may find employment in the acute care and/or long-term care settings. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requires students must be enrolled in HS 050 and HS 050L concurrently, and pass both courses at the same time; neither course can be taken individually for credit.Usually HeldTue 7:30am–11:45am, Mon 7:30am–12:00pm, Thu 7:30am–12:00pm
