The course explores the history of science and technology, from initial Ptolemaic and Aristotelian understandings of the universe, through the challenges brought by the scholars of the Scientific Revolution, to the modern innovators of scientific developments and advancements in technology. The course provides an overview of how individuals, societies, and nations were impacted by these developments and how science and technology impact political, social, economic, and cultural changes over time.
