Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis introductory course is designed to familiarize the student with the heavy equipment’s electrical and electronic systems. Topics covered include fundamentals of electricity, basic circuits, schematics, symbols, diagrams, DVOM, graphing multimeter and oscilloscope usage, wire repair techniques, electrical components, semiconductors (including IC), battery, charging, starting, accessory, and instrumentation systems. Demonstrations using the A-Tech circuit boards will be used to illustrate electrical principles, including strategy-based diagnostics.
