Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides the fire technology or other interested students with information pertaining to the design and operation of fire department apparatus. This includes components such as the engine, pump and drive train. Basic hydraulic calculations for operation and safe vehicle use will also be discussed. Topics addressed include the different types of fire apparatus and their function including wildland firefighting apparatus and municipal fire apparatus.
