Description: This course teaches scientific computation using MATLAB/Octave software packages. Topics include an introduction to matrix and vector methods, numerical methods including integration and differentiation, Monte Carlo methods, statistical analysis of large data sets, and the creation of scientific graphics. Topics are applied to solve typical problems in physics and engineering.
