It offers students a workshop beyond ENGL 131 in which to develop more advanced writing skills in various genres such as fiction and poetry. Students will continue to learn to “read as writers” by analyzing published writings in various genres, with a focus on authorial techniques and effectiveness. Students also will be required to write regularly, present their own work in class for discussion, and develop critical standards for evaluating the merit of their own work and the work of their peers.Usually HeldTue Thu 2:20pm–3:45pm, Tue Thu 8:00am–9:25am
