It focuses on the use of observation and assessment in meeting the individualized needs of children in inclusive and natural environments. Topics include the role of the teacher as a professional working with families, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and cultural competence. The course meets the Department of Social Services (DSS) Classification Indicator DS3 and applies towards the State of California Department of Education Title 5 Child Development Permit.<
