The course covers required and supplemental instruction for carpentry apprentices, and focuses on the commercial and residential skills necessary to properly handle and install drywall used in specialized applications including fire resistance, sound control, and for-life safety. Layout, cutting, attachment procedures, and productivity techniques are discussed and practiced under jobsite conditions. Wall framing and drywall finishing methods are incorporated into the hands-on activities.
