It expands knowledge of child development theories, observation techniques, and applied academic skills. Furthermore, it practices applying child development knowledge for infant/toddler and preschool-age childcare centers; building awareness of self-care, reflective practices, and preparing for early childcare apprenticeships. Four (4) high school elective credits will be awarded if a student passes the course with a minimum grade of 70%.
