    Description
    This course will cover the theory, operation, diagnosis, and service procedures of automatic and manual transmissions and transaxles. The course also covers four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, axles, driveshafts, and constant velocity axles. Safe and correct hands-on testing and service procedures are emphasized. Students must furnish approved safety glasses. This course assists the student in preparation for the A2 (Automatic Transmission/Transaxles) and A3 (Manual Drive Train) ASE certification exams. Field trips may be required. Students may be awarded 10 high school elective credits if they complete and pass all course assignments and requirements.
