- An introduction to the elements of writing a play for the stage emphasizing dramatic structure, dramatic action, relationship between dialogue and action, setting, theme and point of view. Students will be assigned writing exercises that culminate in a one-act play. Same as ENG 177, Principles of Playwriting.
