    The Introduction to LGBTQ+ Studies offers an intersectional examination of issues related to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer experience. Taught from the sociological perspective, this course includes historical and contemporary analyses of the LGBTQ+ community and their relationship to social institutions, and institutional power. The Introduction to LGBTQ+ Studies also surveys political, legal, and cultural values and actions with a focus on social justice. Field trips may be required. (Same as WMNS 286)
