Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides a comprehensive overview of global commerce, focusing on the creation and management of international business contracts, financial mechanisms, and the regulatory frameworks that govern international distribution. Students will learn about international limited liability companies, foreign direct investment, and how global trade agreements such as NAFTA/USMCA, GATT, and the EU affect businesses. The course also explores management in varying legal environments and U.S. export regulations. Emphasis will be placed on using the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and managing cross-border transactions. Through this course, students will gain insight into how countries cooperate to form global markets and regulate international trade. (Same as BUS 117 Global Commerce and Management).
