Students will critically engage with complex information environments to develop advanced research strategies, evaluate diverse sources across disciplines, and synthesize information ethically and effectively. Emphasis is placed on scholarly communication, data and media literacy, algorithmic influence on information access, and the social and systemic forces shaping knowledge production. This course prepares students for upper-division coursework, transfer-level research, and lifelong learning in an evolving information landscape.
