- This course is the laboratory component to Environmental Geology (GEOL140). This course focuses on the interaction between humans and the Earth's near-surface environment. Students will explore environmental hazards, resource assessments, and regional planning through laboratory exercises and case studies. Course emphasizes the Earth system and connections between the geosphere, biosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere. (Same as GEOL 140L)
