- Introduction to the history, philosophy, and sociology of secondary education. This course will cover the California Teaching Performance Expectation and Assessment, needs of students with disabilities, English learners, struggling readers, content standards, and major curriculum reform documents. Students participate in 45 hours of structured observation in a local secondary classroom.
