A trans-disciplinary, multisectoral, and multidimensional approach will be employed to study African/Black Americans' various experiences and contributions to American society and culture. The course will cover historical and contemporary issues, including African origins, the development of African/Black American culture, the struggles of the African/Black American family, African/Black American political life, and African/Black American people's socioeconomic empowerment in the United States.
