    Description
    Prerequisite: Appropriate standing in the Psychiatric Technician Program or evaluation of skills and knowledge as outlined per the Program Policy of Granting Credit for Previous Education and/or Experience. Corequisite: Must be taken concurrently with clinical course PSYT P030F Lecture 45 hours per semester. A study of psychopathology occurring in children and the elderly including diagnostic criteria, symptoms and treatment. Examines personality disorders and their common and distinguishing characteristics, as well as treatment. Also, examines the area of addiction, including specific characteristics and various treatment approaches. (A)
