This course builds on the concepts of nursing science and psychiatric nursing for the acquisition and application of developmental disability theory, communication, collaboration, and clinical judgment necessary for safe, client-centered nursing care of diverse developmentally disabled clients their families, and other support persons. The course incorporates the legal and ethical responsibilities of the Psychiatric Technician in the care of clients with developmental disabilities.
