This course builds on concepts of nursing practice for the acquisition and application of mental health nursing theory, communication, collaboration, and clinical judgment necessary for safe, patient-centered nursing care of diverse patients needing various levels of mental health promotion and mental illness management, their families, and other support persons. The course incorporates the legal and ethical responsibilities of the Registered Nurse in mental health nursing.
